Gulls see off Robins.

Mark Ellis grabbed the winning goal as Torquay recorded a 2-1 win over Bristol City in a pre-season friendly at Plainmoor. David Clarkson fired the Championship side ahead from close range in the 55th minute, but Lee Mansell drew the Gulls level eight minutes later when his 25-yard strike deflected in off the studs of Kalifa Cisse. Ellis then popped up with the winner, the centre-half prodding home through a sea of legs after City had failed to deal with Kevin Nicholson`s prodigious long throw.
