Radio Devon Neglect United

Torquay United Chairman Mike Bateson has complained to the BBC after United fans were denied the opportunity to listen to their clubs game at Huddersfield Town on Saturday.

The BBC claimed that United fans would be cheering on the exploits of Exeter City and Plymouth Argyle in the 3rd Round of the FA Cup against Manchester United and Everton respectively. This shows how out of touch the programme producers are with the footballing public of Devon.

Bateson admitted that although it was nice to see Exeter gain some financial reward for their Cup exploits, he was hoping they would be thrashed 21-0.

No self respecting Torquay supporter would ever prefer to listen to the Grecians rather than their own Gulls.

Come on Radio Devon, you are supposed to represent the whole of Devon, not just your favourites.
