Although reported in other publications and websites that Tony Bedeau has reached his 300th game, it will in fact be the match against Huddersfield this Saturday where Bedeau reaches his 300 milestone for appearances in a Torquay United shirt.

Three of Bedeau's appearances occured when the striker-cum-winger-cum-full back went on loan to Barnsley, then of the First Division back in January 2002.

Bedeau will also be making his 200th league start for Torquay on Saturday, and has scored 53 goals in all competitions. Bedeau made his debut in November 1996 against Hull City as a 17 year old and scored his first goal for the club in the last game of the 96/97 season away at Doncaster Rovers

Tony has since gone on to represent Grenada in World Cup qualifiers.

Although Bedeau has been with the club longer than any current squad member, he does not have the highest number of United appearances, this is currently the honour of Kevin Hill, who has played 346 matches for United to date
