Pro debut encourages United
Following the debut of Stuart Boardley against Yeovil last night, United have moved to sign the 19 year old up until Christmas, so as they can take a good look at the player without either party feeling pressured to come to a quick decision.Boardley, who signed earlier this month after failing to secure a first year pro contract at Ipswich Town, prefers to play on the left of midfield but can operate more defensively if needed.
It has been confirmed that Arjan van Heusden's groin strain will keep him out of action for up to three weeks. United are sweating on the signing of former Icelandic Internation goalkeeper, Olafur Gottskalksson. His transfer from Margate is being held up by red tape and insurance matters.
Lee Canoville, another victim of injury against Yeovil Town, is to undergo a scan on his hamstring which could prove to be a pull and keep him out of the side for some time.
