United have signed 6'7" central defender Malike Sako after he impressed in the Tony Bedeau testimonial against Plymouth on Saturday.

Leroy Rosenior wasted no time snapping up the 23 year old, who can also play in midfield, on a one year deal.

Leroy said his flexibility to be able to play in other areas was a decisive factor in signing. This does throw up questions regarding who are going to be the central two for the season, especially as Steve Woods and Craig Taylor are the two experience and respected members of the squad and performed to a great standard during the promotion season.
