No More Twists in the Olafur Saga

Icelandic goalkeeper Olafur Gottskalksson has finally completed his transfer to Torquay United.

Gottskalksson 36, signs from non-league Margate following retiring from football due to injury two years ago while at Brentford.

A new goalkeeper has become priority number one since Arjan van Heusden's decision to retire and move back to Holland, and has become even more important since van Heusden picked up an injury in the LDV Vans match at home to Yeovil.

Gottskalksson is expected to go straight into the team for the match on Saturday against Peterborough United at London Road.

It is not known whether Arjan van Heusden will still stay at the club until his house is sold, or whether his retirement is imminent.
