Left sided Stuart Boardley has joined Torquay as a trialist after completing 3 years in the Academy at Ipswich Town.
Boardley, 19, has been at Ipswich since the age of 11, many of which have been under the guidance of former Gulls loanee Simon Milton.
Boardley has not appeared for the first team, but has appeared in the reserve team as a left winger, scoring on numerous occasions. He was expected to sign full contract terms, but a broken leg in a car crash put back his development and he was released at the end of his scholarship.
He has been recommended to the club by contacts of Leroy Rosenior, who rates the player highly, and should add some depth to the squad. |
