Last Season's Biggest Disappointment signs for Two Years

Winger Martin Phillips has finally agreed to and signed the contract offered to him by Torquay United, which will see him at Plainmoor until the end of the 2006/07 season.

Phillips was out of touch for most of last season but seemed to find his form towards the end, being an integral part of the four straight wins which gave us so much hope.

If he can re-continue this form once the new season starts we will have re-signed a fantastic player. However, he may feel that now he has earnt his new contract the effort will not need to be put in.

I hope for the Phillips who set Exeter alight and joined Manchester City rather than the past it pro we signed from Argyle
