Injury Keeps Inspirational Midfielder on the Sidelines

Alex Russell has broken down during his recovery from a hamstring problem.

Russell, who was targeted to return against Walsall on Saturday is now expected to be out for a further two weeks. His play-maker role is currently being filled by Jason Fowler, but he is also struggling with his fitness at the moment, and has only managed to finish one out of five matches.

Better news on other injured player, Lee Canoville, who is expected to reclaim his place for the important Coca-Cola League game this Saturday, although his stand in Tony Bedeau has managed some fine performances in his absence.

Craig Taylor will return from suspension to give United their full strength defence for the first time since the Hull City game where Taylor was sent off and Steve Woods injured his groin.
