United Players One Card Away
Just as United appear to be turning the corner and stringing together a few decent results, the shadow of fear that is suspension looms over the shoulder of two of United's players.Matt Hockley picked up his fourth yellow card of the season after coming on as an 88th minute substitute in Saturday's 2-1 home win over Huddersfield Town. One more and he receives an automatic one match ban.
More disturbingly however is the fact that left back Brian McGlinchley has been on four yellow's since the LDV Vans Cup win over Yeovil. McGlinchley has been United's most consistent player so far this season, turning in good performances even when the team has been losing.
Possible replacements for McGlinchley are limited, with only Stuart Boardley realistically being capable of playing in that position.
