Garner commits to United

Torquay have confirmed that last season's loan signing Darren Garner has signed a deal with the Gulls.

Garner was instrumental in pushing United so close to safety and although an contract was agreed last month, it was still playing on the minds of the fans that he may be allowed to slip through the fingers of the club.

Two new signings include goalkeeper James Bittner who came to the attention of United while playing for local rivals Exeter City and 29 year old midfielder Matt Hewlett from Swindon, who will hopefully be a good replacement for Alex Russell.

It looks as though Leroy Rosenior is going to sign a couple of the trialist currently training with the club, and could include former Fulham defender Alex Lawless and former Arsenal trainee Jordan Fowler.
