Noble of Fulham

United have signed 20 year old, Fulham reserve centre-forward Stuart Noble, on a month's loan.

Noble, who is yet to play for the first team at Craven Cottage, or even Loftus Road, has had a previous spell on loan at Scottish Division One side St. Johnstone in the 2002/03 season, where he scored 5 goals in 8 starts and helped St. Johnstone to third in the table. His first seven games were all won by the Saints. A repeat of that would be greatly welcomed at Plainmoor!

At 6'0, the Scot would add a little bit of height to the front line, which is greatly missing at the moment, but questions must be asked about whether Rosenior considers both Martin Gritton and Adebayo Akinfenwa up to Coca-Cola League One football.

Former QPR midfielder Stuart Wardley has signed on non-contract forms, and will be given a chance to prove his fitness and form over the next month. He is a quality player, but there are doubts over his fitness following a season long injury sustained at the end of the 2002/03 season while playing for Rushden & Diamonds
