Move back to London for Midfielder

Stuart Wardley has left Torquay following an offer from Leyton Orient, to be closer to his family.

Wardley, who was on the footballing scrapheap following injury, has been with United since mid August and had signed until Christmas so as both parties could take a look at each other.

So after being paid to get back to fitness by United, and being given a chance to prove himself, he has repaid the club by leaving just as he was showing great promise.

Head Coach Leroy Rosenior was clearly frustrated when he said "It's difficult to take, because you work hard to get players down here, especially lads with Stuart's experience.

"We got him down here, got him fit and now he's gone. But he wanted to be back near his family, and it can't be helped.

"It does make the squad even smaller now, but it gives somebody else a chance."
