Bristol City to Allow Woodman to Stay

Left sided Craig Woodman is set to extend his loan period at Torquay United until the end of the season.

Woodman has impressed in his three games as left wing back, with United unbeaten in all three of those games, and is set to fight it out with Brian McGlinchley for that position from now on. There is not much to seperate the two players but Woodman is slightly better going forward. Should Leroy Rosenior revert to 4-4-2 then both players would fit on the left side with McGlinchley at left-back and Woodman left midfield.

This move will also benefit the player who has found himself on the sharpe end of Brian Tinnion's tongue as he has questioned the players commitment to the club, even though he signed a three year contract prior to the start of this season.

Woodman joins Matt Villis and Anthony Pulis as long term loanees, the deadline for registration for which is 31st December 2004.

United also look likely to sign Oswoldo Lopes from Cork City once the international transfer window opens in January. The player has been on trial for some weeks, but United have not been able to see him in match action due to the freeze on signings from other countries.
